Alfacig electronic cigarette presentation.

An Alfacig is composed of 4 main parts:

The cigarette body. contains a lithium-ion battery, a contact and a microprocessor. At the extremity of the tube is a heat sensitive element and a LED power light. The heat sensitive element becomes active on reaching 60?C. The LED power light simulates combustion when inhalation occurs and also indicates by blinking when the battery needs recharging.

An interchangable cartridge. This contains a liquid consisting of artificial tobacco flavouring, glycerine and preservatives. The cartridges contain no substance dangerous to health. They are available in different flavours and four different levels of nicotine. The duration of a single cartridge can vary from one person to another depending on the user's personal smoking habits. Generally though, each cartridge can deliver approximately 200 inhalations, the equivalent of 10-12 cigarettes. The cartridge should be kept in a cool, dry place. The consummation period is 18 months.

Please note: The cartridge on the original cigarette is empty and serves only as protection.

A vaporisor. This has a heating element which permits the generation of vapour using the liquid contained in the cartridge in order to simulate the smoke of the electronic cigarette.

A heat detector. This enables the electronic cigarette to function when exposed to a temperature of 60°C. This heat can come from a lighter, a car cigarette lighter, etc...

Principal advantages of the electronic cigarette Alfacig.

- It is a cigarette substitute that enables the complete reproduction of the act of smoking a cigarette.
- It is lit like a real cigarette.
- At each inhalation it generates smoke and simulates combustion.
- After 5 minutes of use it "goes out".
- There is no real combustion so there is no risk of fire.
- This substitute allows the choice in the dose of nicotine inhaled.
- It generates no tar, no carbon monoxide or other carcinogenic substances contained in a normal cigarette's smoke.
- By substituting it in the place of a cigarette it permits the immediate benefits that stopping smoking can offer.
- On a financial basis it is far more economical to use this cigarette than smoke real ones but you shouldn't forget that your life is priceless.

First use.

When you first use your electronic cigarette the battery should charge for 4 hours. At this time you should ignore the green power light on the charger. After the first use the green power light on the charger will indicate when the battery has finished charging.

Recharging the battery.

When the power light situated at the end of the electronic cigarette starts blinking it indicates that the battery needs charging. For that you need to do the following:

- Whilst holding the cartridge firmly you should unscrew the body of the cigarette leaving the vaporiser in the cartridge.
- Screw the body of the cigarette into the charger;
- Connect the charger using the sector cable to a 100V-240V 50/60 Hz electrical socket or use the car cigarette lighter cable to attach the charger to a car cigarette lighter.

You can equally screw the cigarette body into your special USB cable and connect it directly to your PC.

Replacing the cartridge.

When using the Alfacig electronic cigarette if the smoke seems to be significantly lessening then you should replace the cartridge. For that you need to do the following:

- Remove the original cartridge by firmly pulling on it;
- Unwrap a new cartridge and remove the cap;
- Press the new cartridge firmly into place on the atomiser.

Your Alfacig electronic cigarette is now once again ready for use.

Replacing the vaporiser.

When your battery is well charged but there is a progressive diminution in the quantity of smoke produced that indicates that the vaporiser needs changing. To do this you should carry out the following:

- Remove the cartridge by pulling on it firmly;
- Unscrew the vaporiser whilst holding the cigarette body firmly;
- Screw in a new vaporiser and then firmly press a new cartridge of your choice into place.

To make it work.

The Alfacig electronic cigarette can be characterised as having two modes of functionality:

The passive mode: The electronic cigarette does not function in the passive mode. If you should inhale using it no smoke is produced and the luminous diode does not light up.

The active mode: When a flame or similar heat source is brought close to the electronic cigarette's tip the cigarette will then automatically switch to active mode, generating smoke and activating the luminous diode tip at each inhalation for a period of five minutes. You will experience the same effects as smoking a real cigarette. At the end of this time the electronic cigarette will again switch to passive mode until a heat source is again approached to the tip of the electronic cigarette. By reproducing the whole act of smoking the user will not even notice that they are using a substitute.

Precautions.

The Alfacig electronic cigarette is a product of high technology and its components such as the cartridges, the battery, the charger etcare made expressly for the Alfacig. The use of a product not expressly made for the Alfacig can cause dysfunctions of the product, damage to the electronic cigarette and will render the guarantee null and void.

Lighting :

The heat detector situated at the tip of the electronic cigarette reacts upon being exposed to a temperature of 60°C or more. The flame needs to be approached to the tip for only 1 or 2 seconds to activate the electronic cigarette. A more prolonged exposure to the heat source will engender the premature aging of the various components. It is advised that the lighter flame be of a minimum height.

Battery :

- Keep the batteries far from all heat sources during charging.

- Do not open or pierce the batteries, do not throw them into a fire.

- - In case of battery leakage causing the contact of the electrolyte liquid with the eyes or skin, do not rub. Rinse the affected parts with plenty of fresh water and immediately call your doctor or an anti poison centre.

- When using the battery for the first time, the charge time should be no less than 4 hours. Following charging periods are for 1-2 hours.

Charger :

- Do not use the charger in a humid area.

- The charger has been specially conceived to charge lithium-ion batteries. Under no circumstances should it be used with any other type of battery at the risk of fire or explosion.

Cartridge :

The liquid contained in the cartridges is prepared in very precise proportions. The introduction of any other substance is strictly forbidden. The addition of narcotics into the cartridge contents is an illegal act punishable by law.

Electronic cigarette :

If the electronic cigarette should appear to change its colour, show a deformation, emit a burning smell or produce any other unusual changes during the charging then immediately withdraw the electronic cigarette from the electric socket and remove the battery using a dry cloth if it is hot. Desist from all usage of this element completely.

Forbidden Users : :

- Minors (-18 years old);
- People who are habitual non smokers;
- Pregnant or nursing women;
- All people with health problems directed to avoid the use of tobacco products;
- People with cardio-vascular illnesses.

Guarantee.

All mistakes concerning delivery or non-conformities should be notified on the first working day following delivery at the latest. All claims made later than this will be rejected. Claims should be made either by email (contact@alfacig.com) or telephone (03 87 02 85 67).

Certification : CE and RoHS.

All products supplied are covered by a legal guarantee as per the French Civil Code articles 1641. The duration of the guarantee is one year for the electric system and electrical components. The guarantee has a three month duration for batteries. Components not covered by a guarantee are consumables such as the vaporiser and cartridges. Also excluded from this guarantee are all items that have been modified or repaired by the client or any entity not approved by GAIATREND.
